Intesting VTOL - The Aerovel Flexrotor

Here is an article about an interesting VTOL aircraft that is also capable of long ranges. While this functions primarily as a fixed wing aircraft it is also able to hover autonomously.

This is the website. I have been working with them for about a year now. We are finally coming out of some difficult financial times (who isn't) and we have built a working conversion demonstrator that has caught the attention of the Navy and Army. Hopefully within the year we can get the funding to scale up from the current 10 foot wingspan model.

At least he's being honest and attributing designs from the 50's were the inspiration, but "tabletop-sized"? lol

Thanks for referencing the past entry on the Flexrotor aircraft. The article that is linked announces that the the project has moved in to another phase of development.
