  • saw this this morning... absolutely terrifying

  • For this project I will use a homing pigeon (failsafe return to base) and train it to respond like a horse to a bit in its beak. Not sure how to control elevator, I may need a vetrinarian to instal a control horn in the tail.

  • Would this be the solution for legal issues... ?  ;-) The government can't prohibit birds to fly.

Biomimicery its the phrase to watch, stunning stunning stuff
  • Ok, my title was maybe a bit too generalized. I fully agree that for a specific application, most often, a specific optimized type of UAV will exist.
  • Nice! However, the onboard video shows one main disadvantage of this concept, namely shaking! I guess that efficiency is also not tremendously high.

There is no specific concept, which is the future of UAVs. Depending on the application either one or another concept is better suited. Hence, I see rather a pallette of concepts spanning over completely different airframes in the future. From standard airplanes over VTOLS, octo/quadrocopters, animal like uavs, etc.
