Dear Friends,
this is the first video of Java GS by Riccardo Ferrari (Fox Team) in action.
Java GS using RPC Server architecture implemented in Arducopter Redfox74 branch.
This is new approach to Groundstation for people that prefer completly opensource architecture instead to use labview. In the next revision of Arducopter i think that we implement this code as experimental , activable by DEFINE .

  • The groundstation is still a work in progress. The automatic sensor calibration will be based on something like this: http://paparazzi.enac.fr/wiki/BoozSensorsCalibration.

Hi Roy DCM work on quad. On it working our version of arducopter firmware ... the groundstation is written in java and the connection between the Java GS and Quad is doing by XbeePro. Tell me more about your GS and automatic sensor calibration ? Found the correct value of pid is a a good challenge ;)

  • Nice work! Is DCM running on the quad or on the groundstation?

FWIW, we are using PythonXY (www.pythonxy.com) for our open source groundstation. It interfaces to the Qt graphics library. And it has access to lots of mathematical and MATLAB like functions, which should come in handy for automatic gain tuning and automatic sensor calibration.
