JB, the way it was written, you pretty much had to make a quadplane. Kinda disappointing really they didn't just let the best technology win. ;)
No lack of quadplanes either. Theres even a Talon quadplane, as one of the few real models. Its amazing how many ideas also have decent designs as well, and all for a measely $100k. I wonder how much the designs are worth when they are commercialized.
Boy it is definitely worth looking at those designs.
Some would never fly but all of them are amazing.
I especially like the vertical lift quadcopter to biplane one and the inflatable one.
Probably a lot could be done with the inflatable concept.
That batch of illustrations is an inspiration to us all.
Wow, I don't know how many of them are physically realistic, but there's some really neat concepts and pretty amazing design/render work in there.
