  • Cool !! looks like inspector gadget.
  • You know, I was just at the Pima Air Museum last weekend, and saw that.

    Nice link.

I had a hard time believing that this could get off the ground.

The B17 is an amazing hangar. We spent more than an hour in there.

The proximity and access you can get to the planes is really cool.

    Sorry for the thread-jack!

I believe it was called GEN-H4 here are the videos

    site I think is here
  • Too bad it didn't have enough power to get out of ground effect. It took a real tiny Tiger Woods size pilot to get off the ground. The rotor diameter was smaller than an RMax. Even if it was only a month old, it wouldn't be the most dangerous video of the month.

  • The link in the post above was to Wikipedia on "backpack helicopters." This link (HERE) goes directly to info on the Pentecost Hoppicopter.
  • I don't know if this was the first ever "backpack helicopter," but the Pentecost Hoppicopter was developed for possible use by troopers in WWII. Click HERE for more background.

  • pretty awesome. thought it was RC at first, but looks like it's controlled similar to a hang-glider.
