  • Nice battery case.
Parametric files on thing inverse yet? ;p
  • Yes you just use some epoxy. I have never had issues my GPS was always valcrode to the floor of the plane.

How is the talon pix+GPS plate fixed inside the fuse? Do you glue it on the foam side rails?

Does the fact the GPS is enclosed in the fuse reduces reception sensitivity in your experience?

  • I always get a lock indoors with this GPS (usually within a 1/2 minute). We have 2 Talons flying with the GPS inside and we never get an GPS issue. Yes I know the less cover you over your GPS the better but in this case I have never had any issues here in SA.

You really need to mount the GPS outside the plane if possible. Every piece of insulator over the GPS antenna impedes reception. I've noticed with my Iris (plastic cover the patch antenna) that it won't get a lock indoors, but with my 3DR Quad C it gets a lock every time (no plastic covering the GPS) Both are using a GPS/MAG combined 3DR GPS.

  • I am still designing a bracket for this case

  • I will mount the case under my hex to protect the battery in case of a crash.

  • Nice aesthetics on the magnetometer stilt. But what did you need the battery case for?
