My First ArduCopter

3689361879?profile=original

This is my first attempt at building an ArduCopter. I started with franticly searching the web for parts. I had no idea what I was looking for, but I was looking. Between DIY Drones and AeroQuad, I was able to come up with a list. I have a little background with the arduino. But nothing like this. Mostly would work with LEDs, LCD screens, and Temp sensors.

Ok on with the build. Here are some pictures of what I have so far.

I have a thousand questions, that I don’t even know I need to ask yet.

Thanks to all on this site....

Hey, Scott! Do you initialized your EEPROM by configurator?

Right drop-down -> Initial Setup -> Initialize EEPROM

Oh sorry... r52 yes that's correct, my eyes are just a bit twisted :)
  • Any way I can get r53? I can't find it. Thanks

Ok some parts are in r53, mostly Configurator.
  • The latest I can see is r52

Hmm did you download our latest code r53 from repository?? and also do you have all libraries installed on your computer properly?

gyros/acc's cannot switch their position just like that :)

So it has to be something else. Due we all are using same electronics. So it's either you are missing some libraries or you are doing something funny with your electronics/programming environment.

I did fly today total of 2 hours indoors tomorrow I plan to go outside testing GPS hold and other issues. I had 3S 2200mAh zippys on board and umm with current setup i think I can fly like 10 mins with that batt. Don't know exact due it was often landing/takeoffs today to make adjustments and things like that.

About LED's... well you have not seen "anything" yet :P
