Over the past couple of weeks I have been busy reworking my original APM Mission Planner. Together with my partner/designer Samantha Nelson we have focused on improving the APM Planner’s interface, ideally resulting in a more intuitive user experience.
Below are a couple screenshots of the new APM Planner!

UDP support would be great, it would also allow us to do GSC over IP links such as longer range WiFi or also use something like the Dronecell to do super long range GSC over GPRS. You could launch and control your UAS remotely over an internet connection.
Great work Michael!
Are you planning on adding UDP MAVLink support? qgroundcontrol by default listens for MAVLink packets on UDP 14550, and if it sees a MAVLink heartbeat it autoconnects to the MAV. This is great for HIL setups, and for having the planner as a slave for another MAVLink enabled program.
APM for aircraft
ACM for quads?
If it is disabled by default, how can it be enabled or is it still in the oven.
I think it is necessary in the APM Planner in the use of keyboard shortcuts, so that in flight by a programmable joystick buttons for such flight mode, accidental misuse, etc. to respond the first time

Right hand so that I can not leave the joystick in a flight
Avoid 'hard landing machine crow'

Hope in the future APM Planner where you can directly use the extra axis joystick or slider to control the flight mode, and flying manual 'M', auto 'A', return 'R', augmentation'S' and other actions by keyboard direct control or programmable shortcut keys to control the joystick
Appreciate and thank you
