I just released a new research report.  It details the state of the commercial drone industry in the U.S. as of the end of June 2015.  It looks at recent innovations, business applications, key ecosystem companies, and market forecasts. It analyzes the business impact and market opportunities that proposed Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) rules have on unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) manufacturers, distributors, service providers, and investors.  The report is a great primer for those who want to take advantage of the coming boom in this potentially lucrative industry.  It provides fresh information for industry veterans, entrepreneurs and investors, career changers/advancers, and corporate personnel in all industries. The full text of the report contains the most salient industry statistics illustrated by 12 figures and four tables.

  • Hi Todd - This report - among other things - is a quantitative analysis of the individual commercial markets based on the proposed FAA rules.  It is not like the AUVSI report at all.  Ours does not make an attempt to speculate market forecast numbers - only potential market uptake.  You find our detail evaluation of the AUVSI report here: http://droneanalyst.com/2014/06/25/five-reasons-the-auvsi-got-its-d....  I'd be happy to answer any other questions.  You can email me direct colin@droneanalyst.com.  I will be traveling this week but will do my best to get back to you in a timely manner. - Colin

  • Mr. Colin Snow, This is just a question based on some research and understating of UAS market. I have researched and cannot find any reviews of your drone analyst report. Coming from a customer perspective how are we supposed to understand your report is as more accurate than AUVSI (Which I think is free), in addition the write up on your web page points towards why AUVSI Economic report is wrong. How can you validate that hypothesis?

  • Sure, but it would cost you a lot of your time - which is probably worth more than $495 - to glean it from other sources. Or you could spend a lot more money on one of the reports listed here:  http://droneanalyst.com/2015/06/04/diversity-and-hype-in-commercial...

  • While this may be a great article. It costs 495$ for information which could easily be gleaned from other sources.
