ODROID-W Raspberry Pi Clone

I saw this Raspberry Pi clone today the first time and will definitely try it in september. A lighter, smaller alternative to the rpi.

From the description:

ODROID-W is a miniature computing module which is fully compatible with all software available for the Raspberry-Pi.

The W stands for: - Wearable device development
- Widely applicable Internet of Things (IoT) development
- Workable DIY electronics prototyping

    @Gregory D Great Project, thanks for posting. I started to use the odroid-w and it is incredible, I started to build a new enclosure for the board and the camera and it is as big as a GoPro. For me it is a big step into the right direction. 

    Btw. I read in the odroid forums: "We are considering a new product. But the development needs about 5~6 months." (http://forum.odroid.com/viewtopic.php?f=103&t=6287) I hope it is as small as the odroid-w and compatible to raspberry hardware. We will see.

    That is a pity - this actually seemed like a really innovative move by hardkernal. I love the raspberry pi and pi camera but hate how big it is (not really suitable for most peoples early aircraft like 450 quads and bixler size planes)

    I hope either they get their supply restored or someone else manages to get something similar to market.

    Broadcom has stop shipping/selling the BCM2835 SoC to hardkernel.

    This seems like a seriously cool innovation. Interesting to see some of the "anger" on the RPi forums accusing them of copying/cloning whatever. In this instance Hardkernal has actually brought some serious innovation to the table. Will be checking it out for sure.

    looks like there isn't an ethernet interface on that little odroid-w board :(

    A breakout board exists which adds an ethernet controller, but it's big and comes with 4 USB ports and an RJ45.. bummer..

    It would be interesting to see how well the single USB port on the little board can handle a wireless adapter when powered from a teeny LIPO..

    If the results with it are good, we will definitely use it. The biggest problem with the Raspberry is the space and weight.

    This is awesome, if OpenFPV is going to use it, it will be great, save so much space.
