For the DIY community, there are some pretty amazing things about this. Certainly the ability to load APM if you like, (Disco can fly waypoints with FlightPlan...in app purchase). You can also use the Parrot SDK (developer.parrot.com)
Most interesting to you should be the autopilot bundle (CHUCK). 1080 digitally-stabilized video (same camera as Bebop 2), 14 Megapixel geotagged stills, 32 Gigs onboard data storage, built in optical flow/sonar, wifi link at 2.4 or 5.8, the ability to add your own telemetry, 6 servos out, a standard LiPo connection instead of a proprietary battery.
AND you can take the whole package off and put it on a different form factor! So, if that doesn't get you thinking creatively....
@JB, I didn't get the goggles or controller (I got early prototypes I think). So I've been flying it with a FrSky X6R receiver and a Taranis. It supports SBUS receivers.
@Rob - I saw a picture of it 2 days ago with a belly bay that looks like it was designed for the Sequoia. Looked portrait orientation to me, but I'm just basing this off of one picture I saw. I wasn't really interested in the Disco until I saw that, but I sure would like to hear more on it.

I have more like these, but not showing anything significantly different:

Funny you should mention the Sequoia, I was thinking just the same thing. http://www.suasnews.com/2016/08/parrot-disco-sequioa-multispectral-...
Evan, I'd love to see as many pictures of the "belly" and the inside compartments as you have. ;)
I'm not a drone expert, but I flew Disco at the launch event at Palm Spring earlier this week and wrote about it:

I have a press kit full of pictures if there's anything specific anyone would like to see.
That would be much less exciting.
Maybe a finger grip for throwing?
Here is what I saw (does that look more like a lidar rangefinder?)-
and a few more
