Yes, I'm a diyer but look's interesting for many people asking Us how to start flying but with no work :D and not spending a lot of money.

It's have survey missions funtionality for mosaiking?

Yes it does timelapse and yes you could probably mod it to take another camera and a bigger battery as well. Also it flies well, even in the wind with Arduplane. ;-)

Check the rcgroups thread on the plane for information on battery and payload options. Definitely enough room to stick a gopro sized camera pointing down.

The Disco really is a great little airframe. I've been testing it in high wind with ArduPilot:
