Pixhawk Infographic

Hi everyone!

I would like to introduce to you the final "Pixhawk Infographic" that I have been working on for a while now... it illustrates some of the tips I have learned over the past few years and shows the components that I would like to use in my own personal quadcopter design.

For the full resolution image please go here (thanks to Gary McCray): http://copter.ardupilot.com/wiki/advanced-pixhawk-quadcopter-wiring-chart/

In my next blog post I would also like to release some of the original individual PNG graphics for anyone who wants to use them in their own diagrams! Hopefully some of this can be used in the wiki!

I would appreciate it if any mistakes in the Infographic could also be pointed out so that I can make adjustments!

Best regards,

Jethro.

  • I agree with that Jethro's graphic is very useful and we should thank him for this.

I set up my apm less than an hour and it flies well after that. I'm setting up my pixhawk since saturday but until now I'm still figuring out what's happening? I has erratic connection to mission planner and gps! Nothing really annoy me this much only this pixhawk!

Pixhawk is not really a beginners board like the Multiwii. I found mine simple to set up but then I am used to several versions of APM and its not that different. Jethro's graphic is very useful for anybody setting one up though.

  • Pixhawk failed to amaze me! Worse experience than setting up my multiwii SE board!

  • No problem! Unfortunately I don't own a Pixhawk yet, so these challenges lay ahead for me! :)

  • Sorry Jethro that comment isn't intended for your Pixhawk Infographic.

  • Yes Jethro, software and hardware are pain to deal with! I have intermittent connection with MP and same with gps connection.

In tuning, luckily I got a stable pids. I haven't tried auto tune yet but I heard some failure on that.

  • @Jay: Are you talking about the software setup and tuning?

  • Setting up Pixhawk is complicated than this and I'll not recommend it to newbie. :(

  • Hi Jethro. I have e questiuon regarding the image. The channel 3 from ESC is connected with the 3 wires (Black,Red & withe) on the "Main Out"? My esc's goes out 5V.

    Thanks.
