I've ported MinimOSD to Remzibi's hardware

3689448888?profile=originalHello everyone. Recently I port the MinimOSD to the Remzibi OSD's harware, so a poor man can enjoy MinimOSD's convenience now (no need to modify APM's software anymore).

Because of the limited flash space of Atmega16, the code of OSD is slightly changed, and it is not compatible with Michael's original config tool. So I adapt the config tool as well.

The Remzibi's OSD uses Megaload bootloader, so please use the Megaload programmer to upload the firmware. (The config tool can also upload the firmware, but I have to admit that it is not quite good right now.)

Anyway, here is the firmware and config tool, and here is the source code.

Thank binzi for providing the hardware.

  • About metric/imperial, do you see f(eet) instead of m(eters). Because I do see the m but I do not know if the value is right, yet
  • Hi, Hazy, if you want, I can translate to portuguese language. Please, send me your email address.

    Best regards.

  • Hello everyone. Thanks for your effort Hazy!

I checked the metric/ imperial. The same problem. The OSD only to show imperial even when the OSD Config screen shows metric units.

  • Thanks a lot hazy. It works for me. Great job!
I will check meter/ imperial when I have time.

Anyone know the coding for this project? I still can't get the units to change/stick. All the source files are here

Got OSDConfig to upload the firmware now so that side is good.

The only thing I now can't get to work is the metric/imperial units, the OSD only seems to show imperial even when the OSDConfig screen shows metric units. Everything else seems fine although I've only just bench tested.

    Hazy, it works! Thank you.

I had to load the firmware with Megaload.net and the character file with OSDConfig.

I think there is some difference between 3dr Remzibi's bootloader with the original one. The original megaload bootloader should not care about the red button. I'll add this step to the instruction.

You said "OSDConfig is unable to talk to it for some reason as well", do you mean that OSDConfig is unable to upgrade the firmware, or it can not write and read settings either?

  • Congrats, Hazy :-) Welcome back.

  • Yes, Mavlink 1.0 only
