Propeller Balancing Tutorial



I found this video to be an excellent tutorial for prop. balancing and wanted to share it. Hope it help a lot of our members to solve vibration issues etc.

    I would have also mentioned that you need to check "tracking" to make sure that the blades are level if they are not you may as well toss the blade as this cannot be corrected. When it comes to adding weight to the hub using CA I always worry that the CA will flow at high rpms. I have seen this happen with both CA and epoxy. I personally prefer to try and take a little material off the heavy side of the hub first.
  • I shall do this to my props very soon but I shall be doing this to my deskfan immediately so it doesnt buzz as much :D
  • O Verry nice, I have the Great Planes balancers for both props and CG. And does help tremendously. You wont believe how far your props are off kilt till you get one of these.
