RC Flight Stabilization and RTH system.

Flight Stabilization integrates the tree-axis gyroscope, thee axis acceleration, which make up a basic platform inertial navigation system.

I found this new Thai maybe China Product. Maybe it could have some interest for some in here.

I don't know anything about Price.

    Morli you are right about it's a RTH/RTL unit, It's not an AP with Waypoint navigation. Without GPS and OSD the price for the unit will be about 150 $.

    One more thing, it works at night and in changing weather. FMA / IR has some problems here.

    If you want Waypoint navigation! yes then try out the Ardupilot or UDB but remember to invest alot of time and efford / (frustration for some). I would definitely recommend the Flexipilot as a full ready to fly AP system.

    I already have the Remzibi OSD, the 2.4gHz TX...
    What I am looking for now is the actual autopilot that could fly GPS waipoint and return home by itself (with radio TX off!).
    The Boomerang looks very good to me, but Krzysztof said there are other cheaper and better autopilots.
    The boomerang is 450 USD and you get the OSD plus the Autopilot with GPS. The stabilisation system uses the inertial central (3 gyros and 3 accelerometers). This system looks so much better than the infrared!
    I was just trying to have a feedback on the Boomerang.

    I am new to this forum.
    I have been flying FPV for quite a while and trying to build a cheap UAV (or at least a FPV plane with a auto home return function.
    The Boomerang seems interesting. The manufacturer mailed the price of 450 USD!
    Krzysztof said that it is not the cheapest, not the coolset...What can you get for a similar price (or lower) with similar performances (or better).
    I would like to be able to program gps point for navigation.

    Basically they made PicoPilot-RTL only with 3 dials instead of two, and because the turns are expected to be so anemic, they could got away with a single gyro as well. So not the cheapest, not the coolest, not first, not the most robust, not brand name. Not even made in the USA. But fits the market - returns home, roughly.
  • I bet it works fine. Too bad we didn't make it first! I had the EZSTAR flying just fine with 3 P gains, but I couldn't do tight maneuvers. Very sloppy near the ground, but up in the air you have plenty of room for slop.

    The reason for it to perform poorly are 3 feedback loops where at least one of them should be very precise (pitch), all to be tuned using 3 dials.
    3 variables for 3 fb loops. Normally it takes 6-9 variables for 3 feedback loops.
  • I don't see any reason this isn't workable. My initial AP with the EZSTAR had only P gains and worked pretty well. I was going to ask where the profit was, but this is from China.

    Right about the OSD sucks.
    I found a screen pic of a v.3 much better looking.


    If it's any good then I think will soon be seeing a fully 300$ AP. :-) Right Bosak....

    The control knobs are defining gains fro roll, pitch and something else.
    Similar to Picopilot.
    Surprisingly brutal, but works very well in the field.
    Long term tuning is another story - any dirt potentially could disrupt that.
    The lack of derivative and integral term control with direct pitch drive is a big surprise, this might be marginally flyable - untunable.
