Some new small-scale UAVs from Lockheed Martin, plus the latest in blimp with huge radar arrays and onboard power generation. Always interesting to see the standardization on Xbox-style controllers for the little ones.

Mil certs cost an arm and a leg.
It's amazing though that the great Lockheed Martin still hasn't figured out circular polarized antennas for the video yet. Something 1000's of hobbyists already know about. Probably costs the government $50k+ for this system, and it's got about $5000 worth of stuff in it.
Man, this ground station is almost EXACTLY what I'm working on! Same control sticks, Pelican case, video monitor in the lid, antenna placement, everything! Even similar button arrangement, I plan to use for mode selection.
I wonder what size video monitor that is? I've been shopping, and the best I can find in high-brightness are 7" monitors. That looks to be about 10-12", which would be nicer.
But the way they have that laid out looks really terrible for ergonomics. The sticks are too close to the corners. Your hands end up resting on the edge of the case. I use a laptop in a Pelican case at work, and let me tell you, that feeling sucks. I will have mine set more towards the middle, with nice padded palm rests. Also, their stick are way too low.
