Just a teaser for now. Looks like no aerial category again this year, but ArduRover teams should get ready for another year of domination. And if you're feeling brave, they're teasing this, too:

Hi Chris,

I would like to attend the 2016 AVC and I think that my Pixhawk equipped dual GPS Rovers would be very competitive, however the around trip airfare from Ft. Lauderdale, hotel accommodations, and rental car add up to around $700 which is a bit pricy for a one day event.

Regards,

How many contests can Tridge enter before he explodes?

Yep, agree Tom.  Would be fun to go, but there's no chance.  I'm bummed I won't be able to go to the ELC conference in March either, second year now where it has become the de facto Ardupilot developer annual meeting, and I can't attend.
