  • Seems to be a file missing, cant open the extracted zip in arduino0018. (possibly ArduPilotMega.h?)

  • The code is in post as 8_3-_10_earl
The unit and software measures in inches, microseconds, or cm. The range is less than a 1/2 inch to 134 inches (over 11 feet).
The best application is using this in the arduCopter software.
Any ideas on using it on the AP-Mega ? Maybe on takeoff ?
Too small a distance for landing I think or ????

  • Sorry didn't read post heading I guess. Could you post your code and some details on how you will physically implement the range finder to sense altitude. Obviously this will be for very low level altitude sensing. For autonomous landing? For use on arducopter or fixed wing?
  • Thanks, code is very neat
  • Earl, do you have code for the range finder? Perhaps more documentation on how it works with existing code and hardware would be nice. And is this for altitude sensing or object avoidance?
  • Will it work with the IMU Shield on?
  • Nice work Earl !, have some more write-up here.
