  • Can I get this plane shipped in Indonesia?
  • can we get this plane shipped in india?
  • Hi, guys. You'll find me at both the RCG and RCU forums on this bird. My build is underway, and a few of us are progressing with but a very few hiccups. FYI, my MotoCalc tells me that with my particular selection of motor, ESC, battery and prop, I should expect well in excess of 34 minutes flight duration under 65% throttle, cruising at 32 mph. Of course, all bets are off once I catch a thermal ... ;o)
  • Bill,

I too do like this kit very much and I have been pleasantly surprise with the quality/completeness given the low price. Do you have one yet? Sounds as though you are contemplating. If you don't have one yet I would suggest you get in line quickly. The first 100 went the day they came in stock and others are waiting until a July shipping date for the next round. No telling how long after it will be for the 3rd shippment.

On the question of enduance. It is much easier asked than answered. There are so many variables to affect this, i.e. choice of prop, motor, battery, weight of the aircraft, flight conditions, flight manuvers, etc. Some people are using smaller batteries in series, I modified the inside of the fuse to accept one large battery. A lot of us are considering inflight cameras, autopilots, etc.

Unfortunately, there is no easy answer unless you can remove some of the variables or set some constants. You may want to visit the discussion forums ar RCGroups.com or RCUniverse.com and ask around there.
  • I'm very interested in this kit for a project that I've been planning for years. It seems to fit perfectly with almost all of my design goals. My one concern is flight time. Can anyone who has flown this kit (or anyone who is good at maths) provide an estimated maximum flight time for this bird?
  • But, this item can't be ordered from my country.
  • Sorry, here is the url for the rcgroups build thread: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1237390
  • I started a build thread at rcgroups.com where I am making comments about certain things as I go along and adding pictures. I hope you all will join me there. I'll still be around here, but rcgroups is going to be my primary spot for reporting on my build.
  • I got mine 2 days ago and have been slowly building it. I can agree with that. The fuse seems like the correct length, but its proportions seem exaggerated. And the parts the connect the wings on seem poorly thought out. But so far I think it will make a great UAV.
  • I just got my MQ-9 from NitroPlanes today and it is awesome. I can't wait to start gathering all of the UAV stuff so I can begin my venture.

I do have to agree with some of you though, the proportions could be better. The fuse and wing are not of the same scale. And some of the materials are heavier than I would like, so I may replace so of the parts. I may ultimately use the profiles form this one to build a slightly larger version from scratch.
