Thanks for a great first week!

It's been just over a week since we launched, and we've had an INCREDIBLE response to Mach-Up - the free, web-based design tool.

We've had over 2,000 visitors and now have over 600 registered users. Amazing. Thank you all for your enthusiastic support!

(If you missed it, you can check it out at www.mach-up.com)

Our goal is to remove the guesswork in designing an airframe. We plan to roll out a full suite version in just a few months and would like to hear from you. What are the three most important features you would like to see? What would make your project easier, quicker, and more fun?

Thanks again. Look forward to your thoughts in the comments.

  • @Martin: You can add as many lifting surfaces as you like. Simply click Add -> Wing. In the Geometry tab on the right, select left/right/both. You can connect the wing to another wing or to another object, such as the origin, and then choose the x,y,z offset from that object.

To make an elliptical wing, use a negative value for the tip chord.

  • @Andrew: Thanks for the suggestions. Yes - planning to add an airfoil database and the option to import your own. Also sounds like the Flight Gear interface would be important. We've heard that from a few different people, and will look into it.

  • Import form sketch up ?

  • I see your image and see you have Rudder and horizontal stabilizer. How can I add those ? and I see they are eliptical.... and supouse they have simetrical profile....
I really like the platform, is very intuitive and easy to use.

    +1 for Flightgear export

  • @Blucraft Hmmmm, well exporting as an stl file is a nice feature. Maybe being able to export as an iges or catia as well? With the airfoils I'm guessing with the drop down menu  you'll be including some new ones to check out at some point or figure out a way for us to import our own. Also control surface would be cool tool, that way some where down the line the model could be exported to FlightGear and people could really see how their designs handle. Best of luck to you guys.
