  • Looks pretty good. Not interested in the RTF though as I have no need for a DX5e, another 3s 2200, or a cheap charger. I'd like to see a BNF with no batt/charger for around $380. Otherwise it looks like body set with hardware, landing gear, and GoPro mount will be available for <$60 for those who want to roll their own with an APM...if it will fit.

  • I got the email sneek peek also and thought the same thing -- Phantom response.

If it is as durable a the new micro quad, it will be a super hit.

  • I saw a review of E-Flite's Apprentice airplane (with the same SAFE technology) on Flite Test's YouTube page. The SAFE technology features worked really well!

  • Fantastic price for RTF and GoPro platform. Controller has all the right basic stuff too.

Looks like they built it as light as possible while still providing capacity to carry GoPro, but a stabilizing camera gimbal could be outside the weight envelope for it.

Still an incredible entry price for a capable quad copter.

A lot more people are going to be getting into this hobby.

It is not available till fall, but I bet it won't be alone.

  • Looks cool. I do like Blade products, so I may have to look into this.

  • Looks like they came up with a better battery location.  Hopefully you won't have to use your foot to get the battery to stay in like the phantom :)
