The star of "The Aviator" are these huge model airplanes built by a drone company

CNBC's Jerry Cobb interviews Joe Bock about the models he designed and built for the movie The Aviator. The Hughes H1 Racer, The Hughes XF11, and legendary Spruce Goose airplanes originally built by Howard Hughes. Aero Telemetry designed, built, and flew these amazing airplanes for the Academy Award winning movie The Aviator.

    Chris,

    My father was a draftsman during the construction of the Spruce Goose in Culver City, CA and his best friend was one of the chief engineers, Warren Reed.

    I have inherited quiet a bit of memorabilia from my father from that period time of the Hughes Aircraft Co.
