.

Here is my video on a incident, my quadcopter start going upside down. Near fatal crash, caused by lack of throttle, when descending.

Guys keep flip in handy and im thank full for who ever invented that. It saved my quad.

Just to be clear i tried everything to get it back on correct side but more throttle caused it go faster :/. I hit the flip button wala it came back up.

I think somebody need to add this a new feature into the arducopter so that when multiroter is in stabilized mode it will automatically flip back up

  • yeah, finding a open switch is a hard one. I was being lazy and i almost didn't plug my 8th channel where i have flip configure for this flight, i was just lucky. I have a another small quad and i didn't had two receivers so have to switch around all the time when i wanna switch the quad.

  • Hmmm, bummer. Sounds like ours are unrelated. I'm aware of instability with descent through propwash though. I was in auto mode and the two waypoints it was between were at the same altitude. The search continues for me!

Glad you caught yours! It seems like if, when in "stabilize" or "loiter" modes, an inversion is detected it should automatically initiate flip! Maybe we'll get that soon? For now, gotta find an open switch on my transmitter... haha

  • This caused by lack of throttle when you descending, unbalanced weight on the quad and gushing wind. Its human fatal/ quad fatal :D. I did my mistakes as well as the wind was a big factor. Best way to ovoid this to keep some throttle when descending and keep flip in handy so you can recover in case of a situation like this.

  • Any idea what caused the initial roll over? This happened to me and I have a post up looking for help identifying what happened. Mine rolled 2.5 times before stabilizing upside down! No flip on hand, but thankfully it landed in a tree so nothing more than a broken prop! (though I'll replace all 4 as they did get a bit scuffed up).

  • of caused you would :P, i spent tooo much money on it to see it crash

  • Quad fatal.  They looked to be the only ones around for miles.

It is a great idea to think of doing a flip.  I probably would have just watched it crash.

  • Human fatal, or quad fatal? (Sorry, no youtube allowed at work)
