I just saw on the youtube that Trent has canceled the USA Trip, after a tip stall and bad crash. For me this can show and teach many things who are out there and see this as a simple job to do. When people see a UAS flying, they think they can start a business easily out of it or start flying like a pro.
When you start flying constantly and frequently, problems start to appear and this is a great example. For me it was a big attempt and a good lecture. I appreciate Trent for his afford and his attempt. I encourage him to start a blog post about the problems he had and lectures he had taken. Good job Trent.

Dear Trent, there is little I could add after what has just been said here: Go Go Go! If you need whatever equipment to restock what was broken just ask us! We support you! Take some time to think it through, restock, repair, identify what is the root cause of these bad crashes and hard landings, take days out even weeks to analyze this. Then cross this continent , you can do it, you have what it takes and we want your name in history!

You did not fail, you just found another way that doesn't work. If I gave up this hobby after my first bad crash, I would have quit in 1984.

I would encourage trying to continue; But without possession of all the facts might not be practical; Safety is obviously number 1 concern, is there an alternative - like circling the dessert?; Would back you again any time, and back any final decision. Good luck.

My thoughts exactly Craig, turn it into bite size chunks and keep moving. We are all cheering for you Trent, if you have to can it then do and return better prepared. There is foam and tape right across America I should imagine. Darkest before the dawn.
Trent keep going to the end of the desert and then decide. These are just speed bumps you've still got working kit. If it was easy everyone would be doing it... press on!!!
