Hey everyone,
NASA has just unveiled there Vehicle Sketch Pad open source product. I don't know how many designers there are out on diydrones but this should be fun to play with for anyone interested in flying things. http://www.openvsp.org/
Cheers

Thanks Gary, I also came across Draftsight a few months ago when I had to do some design work (I normally just do analysis). It was super easy to use, very small learning curve :) I'm saving my money for Rhino. Mark Moore, the VSP project lead said they specifically designed the output for Rhino because from there you can create any type of CAD/CFD files.
Thats great stuff, many thanks don't forget Draftsight from Dassault, they should know their stuff as well http://www.3ds.com/products/draftsight/overview/ Simple but handy.
