In this video you can see the first fly review of VRBrain micro 5.0
In this test you can see the great quality of new magnetometer and gps . Emile doing an automatic fly . Set by VR Pad Station 3 waypoint , the last is an RTL . The drone take off from Emile's hand then land exactly in same position :) Emile don't move from his position during all the automatic fly test :)
Dear Friends,
I worked hard in recent weeks to test the new micro VRBrain 5.0
To test the card I used the frame I called our "Personal Robot SDK Fly" The configuration I used for testing and 'the following:
Frame VRX AV250 with Prop Guard
- Micro VRBrain 5
- VR GPS Ublox LEA 6
- 4 10 Amp ESC with Firmware SimonK
- 4 2400 KV Brushless Motors
- 4 Carbon Fiber Propeller dda 5 inches.
- 1 Battery 2200 Mah
- Receiver Futaba SBUS R7008 SB.
- Transmitter T14SG.
During the tests I carried out flight tests and reliability in a stable manner. I flew in different boundary conditions without having any kind of reliability problem. I made flights in both indoor and outdoor.
End the tests with flight manual I started the automated flight test . The GPS took our new GPS VR GPS uBlox LEA6, the main feature of this GPS and 'to have on board the new sensor HMC 5983 with automatic temperature compensation and more accuracy and immunity to electromagnetic interference.
In the tests we performed automated test of loiter mode, hybrid loiter, return to home and waypoint navigation.
Given the excellent results of the tests we have decided to close this firmware revision of the first software will be installed on the cards that will come over the next week.
More info about the components of the test are available here:

Just want to make sure before I buy one - can you please confirm that I can:
1. Upload APM Plane firmware to the Micro with Mission Planner
2. Enable all the Kalman Filters in the new version of the code.
This is a new PixHawk development - is that correct?
Hi John ,
yes i love too with this kind of configuration i can doing in last week around 50 hours of fly :) ... Indoor , Outdoor in any place without problem :) About the wind i can fly until 20- 25 mph without problem I have my drone in my car with 3-4 small 2200 battery and i can fly for 14 min for battery :) I agree i think that 3DNav will be posibble in the next month for example implementing lidar or project tango sensor onboard. The main advantages of doing this kind of test with small frame is that the risk is low when you have a collision and is not so simple broke frame or propeller if you use for example a good prop guard.
About the frame we are working to a simple starter kit for VRBrain micro evaluation .
We are working to final design in these days i think that the next week will be available in final release that will be support : FPV , telemetry , OSD and micro brushless gimbal , too

Really nice! I love a small, safe frame that can run indoors as well as outdoors ( in some stiff wind! ) so well. Indoor 3D nav is coming sooner than we think.
Will you be selling the VRX AV250 frame?
No with google glass actually i implemented the telemetry and automatic control of drone :) ... but this will be another blog post :) I like a lot VRX250 i can doing a lot of test in indoor or outdoor without limit and risk as with bigger platform . I have a great flight time actually around 14 minuti without camera and 12 with camera onboard.

Thank you Rana :)
Great performance !
Wow, VRX250 AV is a nice little bird.
Please show your Google glass capability as FPV monitor;-)
