Hello Scott
We come here to use the UAVs built by DIY, Hobby King issues could be discussed in an on-topic-discussion thread. Or it gives the wrong impression
Just a point, not criticism

Hello while I sympathise with your ordeal, could u take care of this communication off-line here.
It makes it sound like the DIY drones people have done something wrong

i hope you get your stuff, i got a notice wednesday that my missing order has been packed and is ready to ship but as of today it still has not shipped, i agree it looks very fishy, i've talked to there online people but they will answer my question with a "check your email for updates it should ship soon" then disconnect on me before i can ask any details very uncool i did here that they are trying to transition to all online customer service

I totally agree but I better get my stuff back. I dont care if Hobby King is going out of business they better not rip me off. And you know their phones have been off for months or at least since november. Im pissed and at the same time freaking out because of over $300 down the drain and it doesnt take months to find an inventory problem or simply ship a product. Something very fishy is going on.
@Cousins: That is why I am working with the foam cutting rather than moulding. No matter how they mould the polymer after cooling might deform.
Also if I were you I would not leave that wing under the sun for too long, the polymer they used might break under UV radiation.
You might consider using some sort of TAPE at the edges of the wings and winglets, to avoid chipping and cracking due to landing and crashes.

Hopefully these kits are from the initial run and not typical of what to expect when they ramp up.
Oh... and the lid fits very poorly.
Just did a trial fitment of the 2 "fuselage halves" (i know it's a flying wing but i'm talking about the centre section) and while the halves slide together OK, there are large differences in levels between the surrounding pieces. It's hard to explain, but it creates "steps" in what should be a perfectly blended surface.... Grrr. Perhaps my expectations were too high...
Just arrived today!
Fantastic size, foam finish is very very smooth. Quality control was a little suspect. My lid/cover was cracked down the middle and one wingtip was broken.
