Hey everyone I'm new to building drones and I got the arducopter 3dr with full electronics and I got the Taranis X8R + Pixhawk with GPS+compass , and I'm stuck on what to do next. I want to test the motors (without the propellers on). Then I'm going to config everything on Mission Planner. As I said I'm new and I need a step-by-step build on how to get my Taranis to communicate with the quadcopter. I have connected the SBUS to the SBUS on the pixhawk and I got it to show the green light. 

As I said I'm a complete beginner and I barely know what all these terms mean.

  • Do I need any additional equipment (hopefully not) like a PVM or PPM (what do those mean) or SBUS decoder?
