People who have been in marketing for a while know that the best-selling product are not always the best products. Yes, sometimes the things like the Selfly phone case come to the market. Having raised over $1,000,000 on Kickstarter, the Selfly once again brings this phenomenon into the spotlight. Let's take a closer look at this gadget.

Having raised over 1,000,000 on Kickstarter, the Selfly drone is one that doubles asa phone case. In fact, it has a camera that can shoot 8MP still images. Is this the next best thing or does it deserve a place on the list of worst drones of all time?

There was a time when I thought Kickstarter was a great thing.
But the myriad failed enterprises indicate that all too often while the product sounds great and innovative, that there are far more paths to failure than success.
    1. By the time they get the thing actually ready for delivery they have completely lost their innovative edge.
    2. Many of the teams have no idea of how to scale their production to the number of units they need to build and end up failing to deliver and going out of business.
    3. A lot of items are overhyped, oversold things that never should have sought production in the
     first place.
    4. Many are not only ill conceived but basically just a group of people with an idea and an ability to write a convincing proposal to do something that they have no actual concept of how to carry out whatsoever.
The net result is a countryside littered with false hopes and broken dreams.
And assorted quadcopters have been one of the foremost.
DJI owns the mass market and everybody else is blowing smoke at this point.
Go buy a Mavic and use your cell phone for what it was designed for.
