Ok I'm new to this forum so excuse me if some of my questions seem silly. I'm running 2.9 firmware on a apm 1 with all default Params, and I just installed the ublox gps and I get a lock even indoors. I'm holding my hexa (jdrones) in my hand and set throttle to hover at about 3 ft. The ship is relatively stable in stabilize mode,  I have a sonar installed and enabled via mp 1.2.32 mav 1.0,  and I used a usb hub shielded cable to eliminate any noise. ( i don't know how to confirm this in mp though) When i switch my flight mode to alt hold the throttle goes way up and i have to fight to keep the thing down. This happens with loiter as well. I'm afraid to test this out doors because the thing will race off into the sky!

    I assume you are trying to hold your copter at 3 feet, with the props spinning. Pretty scary. From what I heard with 2.9, it is very aggressive in trying to maintain altitude. When you raise up do the motors slow down? You may have to flight test it outside to see how it reacts. Make sure you have all the vibration out and that you have fail safe set. Good luck. Richard
