About Me:
Drones are not only incredibly cool and fun, they're also doing amazing things for people. It's impossible to imagine all of the awesome drone applications we'll be taking for granted in 10 years. I grew up flying remote control airplanes and then got into flying manned airplanes. I now have more than 4,000 flying hours in airplanes, helicopters, gliders, seaplanes, jets. I'll never get enough of all things in the sky!
Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest
I cofounded AirMap (www.AirMap.io) to help make it easy to operate drones safely, legally, and with minimal hassle. The last 100 years of aerial navigation has happened at thousands of feet in the air, across countries and oceans. The next 100 years of aerial innovation is happening below 500 feet and it's all about robots flying locally. We're helping develop and deliver the airspace information to enable those operations.
