Being a Linux old timer and occasional model plane/heli hobbyist, when multirotors first started to appear I was interested in combining the two so I designed a IMU cape for the beaglebone and worked on it on and off, but due to a small design flaw in the hardware I never got the software to work and ended up, a couple of years later, buying an openpilot board and building my first quad rotor using a Tarot 650 frame. Since then I've build hexarotors, planes and small racing quads using openpilot and vector osd. Currently I'm working on a FPV plane using Navio2.
