My son flies a TREX 450. I make shit of flying a heli. So I'm in for a quad Using the Lunarlander frame (quadframe.com) and writing the SW myself, based on a STM32 processor. Motto: build it yourself first, so you'll appreciate others work better :-)

Flying with a kk2-board will NEVER be stable. It can only measure angle-changes through a gyro.
It is is not capable of measuring absolute angles.
By carefull tuning it can fly pretty stable but it needs constant corrections by you.
