  • This company makes some very impressive claims. I've never actually used one of their modems, but I plan to in an upcoming project. Of course, you'll need either ethernet or an mPCI slot on your controller to be able to use one.
  • Long distance 100Mbps is one of those areas which is not getting any investment in the Silicon Valley startups. They're focused on green tech & 3G. It's certainly been done by hobbyists attaching directional antennas to 802.11 cards & of course the mighty Chinese. If you can dream it up, someone in China probably sells it.
  • There are some 802.11g radios that claim 100Mbps by adding data compression (the actual limit to 802.11G is 54Mbps), but range is low.
