2.7.3 - Logs disabled by default?

Just got back from an awesome session of trying 2.7.3 for the first time. Got to use RTL for the first time, it worked! Pretty exhilarating.

Anyway, I get home to comb through the logs, and theres nothing. Did I miss something in setup, or are these disabled by default for some reason?

Yes I know how to turn them on, but I assumed they would be already. Much like EVERY other firmware version. Pretty disappointed I can't go though GPS tracks and the like now.

    This is an unofficial observation from a newbie.  Logging appears to be automatically started when the connection is established, and closed when you click on "Disconnect".  I discovered this when I would unplug the battery as soon as I go to recover the craft and the log file was not properly closed in Windows.

    I'had the same thing yesterday with my plane.

    I have done two flight without crash. then back at home to see the data logging but nothing.

    Any help?
