just a quick note to say thanks for all involved in the 2.x release. Really impressive and seems to have come a long way in terms of ease of use. Setup was so easy, I had to keep checking I hadn't missed something as it just all seemed so simple!.

Just as I finished it started raining here :( so not been out for a proper flight yet, but a quick test in my office seems to be looking good (might need to tweak the magneto a bit).

Two quick questions, I have the standard mediatek GPS from an early batch of kits from fahpah, this reports itself as version 1.4, I can't remember (or seem to find in the new docs) if this is the correct firmware to be using - i think it should be updated to 1.6? If so, could someone point me in the direction of the correct download please?

Finally i don;t seem to see the DIP switches referenced in the new docs - should they be set to anything in particular or are they simply ignored now?

Yes, the GPS should be updated to 1.6. Instructions are here.

 

ArduCopter ignores the DIP switches. They're only used for planes.
