This has happened to me twice now, with two seperate GPS modules - first time a year or two ago, on the bench.
2nd time just recently in the air! Noticed a loss of GPS, dropped out for about 10seconds - first time I have ever lost GPS mid-air in getting on for hundreds of hours.
Basically the battery contacts have sheared and the battery is rattling around inside the housing.
Recommend you all take apart your GPS modules and apply a blob of your chosen goop to keep it fixed down... also check the solder contacts and repair if necessary!
