3dr quad FlySky vs Spektrum

Hi,

I am going to build a 3dr quad and wanted to get an idea of what the main differences are between getting  "FlySky RC with FrSky D4R-II 2.4Ghz PPM receiver and FrSky DJT" and a Spektrum dx7s?

I am not going to get telemetry or GPS immediately but would like to in the future. I want to save money but don't want to regret later and be limited. So would like to hear some opinions.

Thanks

    Hello,
I use the transmitter T9x with the flashed ER9x firmware and the Flysky RC. It works great and gives you for 50$ and some of your time (to upgrade rhe firmware) the equivalent of a much more expensive transmitter from one of the Spektrum or Futuba brands.
Plus you will find lots of support online with lots of tutorials "How to"
  • I used the TH9x Flysky + Frsky telemetry system.

It's cheap and of great quality. I sold my spectrum Dx6 because it was expensive not better than the Frsky.

Go for the cheap solution. Many, many people use it and it works well.

I also have the DX8. It's a great device and has been flawless.

Also, I would encourage you to at least get the ublox GPS with the quad as you'll use it sooner than you think.

I can speak for Spektrum. I use DX8 and its a great transmitter. It's expensive, but you get what you pay for and support from company is excellent.
