I have got the Mission Planner to work on Ubuntu 12.04 but can't connect to the 3DR radio, keep getting a "can't establish connection, permission denied" error.
I'm using this port and 57600 baud: /dev/serial/by-id/usb-Silicon_Labs_CP2102_USB_to_UART_Bridge_Controller_0001-if00-port0
Has anyone got this to work or do I just need to do something simple?

research on something like: chmod 777. it changes the serial permissions to read and write
