Is 3DR notorious for having a terrible shipping process? I ordered an X8 on 3/30/15 and it still hasn't shipped. I've called them twice now. The first time I was told it would ship at latest Wednesday 4/8/15. Yesterday I called back and the response was "we're sorry, you just have to wait" until the rep saw my order date and mentioned he would try to get it moving along.
I understand they are trying to release their new UAV and all, but this is unacceptable. The X8 was labeled in stock and it even says "Usually ships between 1-3 business days." I'm very close to cancelling my order and going elsewhere. Anyone have this sort of experience with 3dr?

I have an IRIS+ on order. Was told it would ship Friday. It didn't. I expect calling Monday won't help, eh? Guess I just picked a bad time. Amazon Prime is now mocking me with in stock IRIS+'s. $50 cheaper, at that. Sigh... wonder if I should cancel.

Personally I would wait it out a bit. With the launch of their new UAV being tomorrow, their shipping will likely be back up and running at 110% and you should be at the top of the list. It doesn't hurt to give them a call. Their customer service ended on a positive note, and I wouldn't hesitate to order from them in the future. Like Mr. Graham said, it was probably a fluke and caused by inventory maintenance.
