Hi,

I have received the following email from 3DRobotics last night, my Iris quadocopter was already in France, at Fedex office for a delivery at home on monday. 3DRobotics say they cancel my order and will refund me, rhis mean they will ask Fedex to send back to product to the US, why such a decision for all customers ? Why cancelling a shipement when the parcel is nearly at your home ?

Here is the email I have received from 3DR

************************************************************************************************

Thanks for your order with 3DR. We're writing to let you know that, due to a temporary change in our shipping policies, we're unable to ship orders outside of the US and Canada. We'll be cancelling and refunding your order immediately. We're very sorry for the inconvenience, and we'll let you know when we can resume shipments to your country.

If you have any questions or would like to make modifications to your order, write to us at help@3drobotics.com or call our support line at +1 (858) 225-1414, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm PST.

Sincerely,

The 3DR Team

      • Crap! That's got me pretty much stopped!

  • Did this discussion get baned on the top content list? I think so!

Yesterday it was on rank 1 and now it disapperead from the list. This topic has 8217 views at the moment. The current rank 20 has 32 views. Hmm, okay maybe it is the date. Current rank 9 is from 7th May and has 7667 views. So it's older and has less views. Seems like someone is trying to hide this discussion but didn't have the balls to delete it.

At least it seems to work, people stopped to reply to this post. Make your own mind how this agrees to software freedom.

    • I had a similar thought and then....I had it again.

    • Admin

      @Timo,

The Admins are not trying to hide this discussion.

Sometimes NING works in strange ways in relation to what should be.

Maybe people got tired of making additional posts?

Pierre Gubouin received his package from 3DR (See Gubouin's post above).

Maybe all the excitement is over?

      Regards,

      TCIII Admin

      • @TCIII

And it's on rank #1 again. That's really strange.

Sorry, I want to apologize. I think I was wrong.

        • The hot views list is prolly counts over the last 12 hours or something like that. Without the time factor it wouldnt be hot, and some really popular items would always be sticky and stay at the top even if they dont get any new replies for a long long time.

      • @TCIII

I expect that the ranking is based on Data Mining based on factors like number and time of page views and replies. Maybe some more complex things like key users, trendsetters, ...

Based on that this topic should be burning hot.

I would agree that it is a strange behaviour by the system if this discussion would be no longer in the top five.

But it disappeared completely and topics with under 100 views and less than a handful are hotter than this topic.

I can't prove anything, but I think the number of views and replies speak for themselves.

      • And sometimes 3DR works in even stranger ways. You seem to be a fair, even handed moderator. There are others whose names begin with C and S, who condescending and do more harm than good for 3DR.

  • Does anybody have any update on this issue?

Is the ban real? And how long is it going to last?

Could it happen again in the future?

  • Maybe its a good time for the apm beaglebone port.
