Chris,I just found your site and signed up immediately. You certainly have created a specific forum for all of us RC fliers who are interested in UAV's and Drones. I got the bug when I had the opportunity to review the Nitro Predator UAV for RCU, and then my pal, Danny Landis - world renouned RC pilot, was recruited to fly UAV's in Afganistan for the US Armed Forces.Since I have just become a new member of DIY Drones, I would rather ask first before doing. So, if you might be interested in the Predator review, I could include a link to it on your site. Just let me know.
assuming i get everything in order with me, helo, and jeff (not you papa jeff lol), i'll be using this sucker as my body. I plan on bringing most of the weight back to the center in terms of equipment, and make it slightly nose heavy, by locating most of the electronics in an external compartment.
My experience: it's a beautiful plane, but it's a challenge to turn it into a proper UAV due to limited equipment space and CG issues with the weight being in the nose and tail, rather than under the wing. I've done that, but it sure wasn't as easy as throwing a load of equipment into the big equipment bay under the wing of the Electistar.

But it looks so cool, it's worth it!
