Do you think it is a good idea? How many of you have done this?EDIT- parallax servo controller is the servo controller i meant :)

So essentially the idea is to power all of the electronics, basically the whole plane, off of the main motor battery?

Explain a bit more. Do you mean powering an autopilot with the BEC? That works fine (it's what we do with ArduPilot). Or just powering a servo controller board? That obviously also works fine, since it's essentially what RC receivers do.

BTW, for people who don't know, BEC stands for Battery Elimination Circuit, and it's built into the electronic speed control (ESC) of all modern electric planes.
