ADDING TELEMETRY

Hi dear specialists,
I got my easystar flying well with the 2.5.4 Version. Thermopiles
Now I added telemetry X-Bee 2,4 MGHz and ground station beta 2. Generally it works fine, but:
The Elevation shows always around 13000 meters.
Google Earth shows the same Elevation. (13000 meters)
What is working fine, are:
  • position
  • artificial horizon
  • Speed
  • Groundspeed
  •  heading
  • Current Waypoint
  • Distance

Not working are:
  • LIPo ( If you want ArduPilot to measure your battery voltage (to report it in the telemetry stream to your ground station), solder a wire from thehole below to the positive terminal of your battery connector:) I soldered a wire from the marked hole to my + LIPO. So it should show something like 8.4 Volt on the display, but it won´t.
  • Throttle SetPoint
  • Variometer
  • Altitude

I hope it is only a minor bug and anybody has an idea to solve this problem. So far all the instructions and manuals were very well explaint.

Thank you for your help

  • Can i ask what GPS hardware are you using?
As you said your heading is working? Do you mean that it works exactly like a compass?
Because I am using a GPS EM-406 and I am unsure how to read my current heading in degrees.
If the heading is referring to the heading to a certain waypoint, how do i set this way point? I am using the latest 2_7_1 program. Thanks!
  • Well for the battery data...in the arduPilot code, there is a #define with the word batt or battery in it. You need to set that to 1 instead of zero.
