In the cultivation of crops, we pay attention to "three-point, seven-point management." This is also a summary of the practice of the ancient working people in China based on the current production conditions and productivity levels. But nowadays, with the continuous improvement of the level of agricultural modernization, the use of mechanized and high-efficiency pesticides has allowed growers to spend less time and energy on field management than the ancient sages, which has to be attributed to the development of plant protection machinery.
At present, in the spraying of pesticides, modern plant protection machinery can be roughly divided into field spray machinery (mainly sprayer) and aviation plant protection machinery (also known as Agricultural drone sprayer). Today, the author has the commonality and superiority of sprayer and Agricultural drone sprayer. The disadvantage is to make a comparison. If it is you, which one would you choose?
Commonality: safe and efficient
Before the emergence and popularization of plant protection machinery such as sprayers and agricultural drone sprayers, farmers sprayed pesticides mainly by artificial knapsack. This kind of equipment requires 2 to 3 barrels of water per acre, about 50 to 60 liters, which is time consuming and laborious, and poses a threat to the health of the applicator, and the medicine is extremely uneven, and the sprayer is swinging from side to side. The method itself is very backward.
The application of sprayer and Agricultural drone sprayer, first of all, to keep people away from pesticides, will not cause pesticide poisoning; Secondly, compared with manual spraying, the efficiency of work can be greatly improved, allowing farmers to liberate from heavy drug fight operations To achieve precise variable spray, reduce dosage, while ensuring the quality of agricultural products.
Advantages and disadvantages comparison
- Working area
Relatively speaking, the sprayer is more efficient than the Agricultural drone sprayer. According to statistics, the sprayer sprayer can work more than a thousand acres per day, while an Agricultural drone sprayer has a daily workload of about 300 acres.
- drift problem
When spraying pesticides, the agricultural drone sprayer's flight position is higher than the ground, so the operation is affected by weather factors. If there is 3~4 winds, even if the flying height is lowered, the pesticides may drift hundreds of meters; The sprayer has a low working height, less drift, and uniform spraying, which can reduce the amount of pesticides and environmental pollution.
Adaptability
In terms of adaptability of the operation, the working height of the sprayer can be adjusted as needed, and it can be applied close to the crop to meet the application requirements of different height crops. However, the sprayer is slow to transfer and not flexible enough. Crops cause unnecessary damage; Agricultural drone sprayer is suitable for different terrains. Whether it is flat land, hills, or large fields or small farms, it can be used for operation, small and flexible, easy to operate, no contact with crops, no physical hurt. Hill or small fields are not suitable for use with sprayer sprayers.
- market share
According to statistics, the current market share of spray-type sprayers can reach 20%, the market has more than 600,000 units, and there are more than 150 manufacturers. Although the agricultural drone sprayer has a market share of less than 10%, the market maintains The volume and aviation plant protection service organizations are further increasing, coupled with the national policy support for aviation plant protection, I believe the Agricultural drone sprayer market will further expand.
In summary, what better is the sprayer and the Agricultural drone sprayer? The answer is - adapt to local conditions. Relatively speaking, the sprayer is more suitable for large-scale plain field operations, while the special plots where the locomotive is not working properly are more suitable for the Agricultural drone sprayer. Of course, the kind of machine spray used by farmers should also take into account various factors such as price, subsidies, land area, crop varieties, etc. No matter which one is chosen, it is an accelerated performance of agricultural modernization process, and the elimination of artificial knapsack fight is historical. The inevitable trend.

Hi againg,
with the topological design of the base its imposible to have a shortcircuit, because its a double layer insulated
each other, plus internal push buttons, current control and prevent mechanisms...
the design really has nothing to do with the botched video ...
thanks for answer

Do you have answers for any of my questions?
Have you ever calculated or did a study how many acres can be covered with for example 10 litters of liquid spray?

Hi,
I have seen your video before on you tube. Interesting design but not very practical. Your cross bars will cause a short circuit at some point.
Still no one answers the real question :) How many acres a 10 litter tank will cover..
nevertheless i belibe that the next future of agriculture drones is in "quad-planes" drone, its more fast

Hi,
Im working on a system based on ardupilot which perfectly allows an agriculture drone
wiht a reduced tank, for example 10 liters, to recharge itself with electric enegy and liquid ,
in the midle of work when it needs it, once its fully top take of from its nearest base
and return back to where it had left it and continue.
in this way you can have an agriculture drone spraying continously
in order to cover a very large extensions, without worrying about having to rechargue it
The system is installable on any drone,
Here you can see some images of the very low cost prototipe....
the base is very improvable and the drone....

thanks for your comment, we have different types of sprayer to meet different demands, and we have exported many containers sprayer to other countries and all receive good feedback. do you mind leaving your email here if you want to buy one? i will send quotation to you as soon as poaaible, wish you have a nice day!

To me it appears the drone would have to be re loaded like 100 times to cover a standard farm field. So the drone based solution doesn't make sense to me compare to standard practices.
