Can the "air" module be used on the ground to get the information to the MinimOSD and parallel that to a FTDI/USB cable to the flight planner?
As long as I am using telemetry I would rather have the OSD on the ground in the event of video link loss from the plane.

I don't use minimOSD myself, so I don't really know (I have one, but I just haven't had the time to try it yet)
If it takes serial MAVLink in (which I think it does) then it should work fine.
