Altitude reads > 50m when at ground level

Hi, my 3DR quad ( purchased RTF from udrones ) shows an altitude of > 50m when at ground level. I have only noticed this since upgrading from 2.9 to 2.9.1.... Anyone any ideas why this might be?

The quad is fitted the 3DR GPS....and on last attempt locked onto 6 satellites. Also has the MB1200 sonar module.

I'd recommend disabling the sonar (in the MP hardware setup page). It's only needed for terrain following, not altitude hold, and under some conditions is vulnerable to noise.
