Hi Supporters,
i´ve no glue how to get a right connection on Windows 8.1 with my APM 2.0.
With Win 7 it was working realy fine but my Slate has crashed and could not be repaired.
So now i´ve a Win 8.1 Toshiba Satellit but i could´nt get it working with the APM via USB.
Only with the XBee it´s possible to get it working.
Any glue how to fix it ?

already tried this to install all my Arduinos, only the apm will not be recognized, maybe defect ?
Tried different cable, NO Solution.
Board is Working via XBee aand transmitting all Data. Only USB Connection is not working

For Windows 8 you have to disable driver signing as the drivers are signed by someone that Windows does not trust. Advanced options 7 I think and reboot.
In device manager is the comport yellow ? If not what comport # do you see ?
i already disabled the signature for installing and have already installed the drivers.
The device occured only One Time (yellow), i´ve deleted it but it will not occure again as Mega2560.
All other Atmel´s (Nano, uno usf.) are working well and can be programmed.
Only APM is not occuring again now.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling MP
