I did notice next error (No Dataflash inserted) with my 3DR APM2.5.2 when loading an Arducopter firmware.
I did reset and erase the APM multiple times, same error. It looks to respond to all testing, but not sure if is safe to fly with this APM.
When I load an Arduplane FW, I do not see that error (see below right side). Loading again the Arducopter, the error is shown again (left side).
What could be the cause, what means and if I can fly safe?
Thanks, Chris

It seems my dataflash fell off after a hard landing, and I'm getting the same error (which makes sense now that I know it fell off). Where can I buy one of those (online) components separately? Thanks!
bump...

Thank for info.
I was able to locate the issue on my board. It looks the dataflash chip has some cold solder.
When I press with thumb the dataflash chip and connect using the usb, then error dissapear, see below second connection.
Any idea how to fix that?

amazing... same story.
thanks a lot Richard, I will follow that way.
I was able to fix it myself.
I used a different solder tip and a good magnifier and able to fix by melting soldering at each of 8 pins.
Thanks again Richard for pointing me to that good information.
happy flying, try google nexttime.
